The loyal German Shepherd played a crucial role in border security, using his keen sense of smell to detect illegal substances.

A Remarkable Career in Law Enforcement

Hardy’s career has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Over the years, he participated in countless operations and was instrumental in seizing more than 30 kilograms of illegal drugs.

His efforts helped law enforcement keep borders secure and prevent dangerous substances from entering the country.

“Hardy has not only done outstanding work but has also won the hearts of many colleagues,” said Dr. Stephanie Nusser, head of Munich’s main customs office.

A Peaceful Retirement With His Handler

Though Hardy’s days of sniffing out contraband are over, his new chapter is just beginning.

He will spend his retirement with his trusted handler, Mr. Amberger, ensuring he receives the love and care he deserves.

While his colleagues will certainly miss him, they are grateful for his years of service and happy to see him enjoy a well-earned rest.

Hardy’s legacy as a skilled and loyal working dog will not be forgotten.
