In a viral video shared by animal rescuer Niall Harbison, Fletcher can be seen walking with an exaggerated limp — despite being perfectly healthy.
It didn’t take long for his family to realize that he was mimicking Candy’s three-legged movement, as if to show his support.
“If you ever feel like the world is a dark place, remember that there’s a dog out there faking a limp just to make his new best friend feel welcome,” Harbison wrote on social media.
