Pitbull Maya Reunites with Shelter Staff a Year After Adoption: Her Reaction Is Pure Joy

A Second Chance and a New Beginning

Back in March 2023, Maya was found in a field and turned over to the Humane Society of Ventura County in Ojai, California.

The white-and-brown pitbull was about three years old and quickly won over the shelter staff with her affectionate and playful nature.

Despite her sweet personality, it took over a year to find her a forever home.

Once adopted, Maya’s new family decided to bring her back for a visit to the shelter.
